Patna: The BJP’s national working president, Nitin Nabin, has begun a three-day visit to Bihar, holding a key meeting at his residence in Patna on Tuesday with members of the Ram Navami Procession Felicitation Committee.
The meeting was attended by senior party figures, including the newly appointed Bihar BJP president, Sanjay Saraogi. Discussions focused on ensuring the peaceful and large-scale organisation of the Ram Navami procession, with emphasis on coordination, logistics and measures to further improve the annual event.

Nabin has for several years chaired the Ram Navami celebrations held at Dak Bungalow Chowk in Patna, which draw large crowds. Party sources said preparations for this year’s festivities were reviewed in detail during the meeting.
Attention has also turned to a commemorative programme scheduled for Wednesday at Nabin Sinha Park to mark the death anniversary of Nabin’s father, the late Naveen Sinha. According to party sources, senior political figures, including the chief minister, the governor, the deputy chief minister and other BJP leaders, have been invited. It is the first time such a large-scale event is being organised on the occasion since Nabin assumed the role of national working president.
The visit comes amid renewed discussions over organisational restructuring within the Bihar unit of the BJP following Saraogi’s appointment as state president. Nabin is expected to hold meetings with party workers during his stay, with sources suggesting that changes in the state organisation could be announced in the near future.
Beyond Bihar, Nabin is also understood to be involved in preparations for the forthcoming West Bengal assembly elections. Having been active in politics for more than two decades, he is reportedly considering deploying experienced party workers from Bihar to support the BJP’s campaign in Bengal.
