Patna: A new chapter has opened for the Bharatiya Janata Party with the appointment of Nitin Nabin as its national president, making the 45-year-old the youngest person to hold the post in the party’s history. Nabin has taken over the leadership from J P Nadda.
Alongside his rapid political rise, details of Nabin’s financial profile have also drawn attention. According to the affidavit he filed for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, Nabin and his family have a combined net worth of Rs 3.08 crore, comprising both movable and immovable assets.
The affidavit shows movable assets worth about Rs 1.60 crore, while land and property holdings are valued at approximately Rs 1.47 crore. It also lists outstanding loans of around Rs 56.6 lakh from banks and financial institutions.
Despite the overall asset base, Nabin’s declared cash holdings are relatively modest. He reported Rs 35,000 in cash, while his wife, Deepmala Srivastava, declared Rs 25,000, taking the family’s total cash on hand to Rs 60,000.

The affidavit lists two sport utility vehicles — a Mahindra Scorpio and a Toyota Innova Crysta purchased in October 2022 — with a combined value of around Rs 37.8 lakh. In terms of property, much of the real estate is registered in his wife’s name, including a plot in Patna valued at about Rs 1.18 crore and land in Jharkhand’s Dhukri area worth approximately Rs 29 lakh.
Nabin’s declared annual income for the 2025–26 financial year stood at Rs 3.71 lakh, up from Rs 3.35 lakh in 2021–22. His wife’s annual income was reported as Rs 1.12 lakh.
Born in Ranchi, Nabin is the son of senior BJP leader Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha. A five-time MLA from Patna West and Bankipur, he won his most recent assembly election by a margin of more than 51,000 votes against a Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate.
