Patna: On Independence Day, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a big announcement for the youth preparing for government jobs. He said the state government is reducing the fees for preliminary (PT) competitive examinations to just Rs 100.
The decision applies to all state-level job exams conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Bihar Technical Service Commission, Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission, and Central Constable Selection Board.
Nitish Kumar also announced that candidates who clear the preliminary exam and appear in the mains will no longer have to pay any examination fee. He said this step will benefit lakhs of young people and help them focus on their preparation without worrying about high fees.
The chief minister said it has always been the government’s priority to provide more job opportunities to the youth of Bihar. He added that this move will encourage more young people to apply for government jobs and achieve their goals.
