Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today conducted a comprehensive review of the Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Departments at the state’s administrative hub, Sankalp, at 1 Anne Marg. Officials were given detailed instructions to accelerate the implementation of government priorities and enhance administrative efficiency.
During the session, Additional Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar Chaudhary provided an updated presentation detailing the departments’ ongoing work and progress.
Emphasising the importance of good governance, Kumar urged the Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Departments to implement tasks efficiently, highlighting the need for transparency and timely delivery of services to the public. “The Vigilance Department plays an effective, sensitive and dynamic role in eliminating corruption in the state. Our goal is to make Bihar corruption-free while pursuing development with justice, adhering to a policy of zero tolerance,” he said.
The Chief Minister also stressed that government schemes should directly benefit citizens through swift and transparent implementation.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer Gopal Singh, Secretary Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, and Special Secretaries Nilesh Ramchandra Devre and Arvind Kumar Verma.
