Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Hajipur on Sunday for the first time since taking oath for a record tenth term, inspecting key industrial areas and highlighting the state’s growing manufacturing profile.
During the visit, CM Nitish toured a shoe factory that exports its products to Russia, observing production processes and interacting with both workers and management. “It is a matter of pride that shoes made in Bihar are reaching international markets,” he said, underscoring the state’s expanding industrial footprint.

The Chief Minister also visited Britannia’s cookie and biscuit unit, where he reviewed production capacities, quality standards, and employment opportunities. He engaged with women employees and factory staff, stressing Bihar’s “new phase of development” and the increasing recognition of its manufactured goods nationally and internationally.

Security was notably tight during the inspection. CM Nitish highlighted that industrial expansion would drive employment growth, furthering the state’s ambition of becoming a developed region. District Magistrate Varsha Singh and JD(U) Vaishali MLA Siddharth Patel accompanied him throughout the tour.
