Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today carried out a detailed inspection of several key departments within the Secretariat, emphasising discipline, efficiency, and campus upkeep.
During the review, CM Nitish visited offices including the Secretary’s Treasury, the Cabinet Room, the Finance Minister’s Office, and the Guest Room. Officials were instructed to ensure timely attendance, maintain operational efficiency, and approach all tasks with sensitivity to meet deadlines.

CM also called for regular cleaning and maintenance of the Secretariat campus, including gardens and public areas. He urged officials to enhance greenery through tree planting and to improve seating and amenities for visitors. A comprehensive plan to reorganise and streamline the Secretariat’s functioning was also recommended.
The inspection was attended by senior officials, including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit, Development Commissioner S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration B. Rajendra, and other secretaries and special officers.
