Patna: Patna Civil Court was placed on high alert on Friday after a threatening email claimed that explosives had been planted in the judge’s chambers. The message, reportedly received by court authorities, stated that “4 RDX IEDs have been planted in the judge’s room and court campus” and alleged involvement of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI.
Following the warning, all judges were evacuated from their chambers, and a substantial police presence was deployed around the court. Bomb disposal units and a dog squad were called in to investigate the premises.

Lawyer Rishikesh Narayan Sinha said the threat had been received the previous day. “The investigation is ongoing today. This is the second consecutive threat. There is an atmosphere of chaos; everyone is leaving in a hurry. Judges have vacated their chambers, and security teams are working inside,” he said.
Authorities have not confirmed any explosives at the site, and inquiries are underway to verify the authenticity of the threat and the alleged involvement of foreign intelligence.
