Rohtas: Patna Division Commissioner Animesh Parashar, IAS, visited several polling stations in the Akhauri area of Rohtas district on Tuesday to review the ongoing voting process for the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. The visit took place on November 11, 2025, as part of the Election Commission’s effort to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and well-managed voting experience for all citizens.
During his inspection, Parashar visited polling stations numbered 83, 84, 85, and 86 located at Middle School, Akhauri. He closely examined the arrangements made for voters and expressed satisfaction with the district administration’s preparedness. He said that the polling stations had been set up as per the Election Commission’s guidelines and commended the officers and polling staff for maintaining discipline and order.
The commissioner also interacted with polling personnel, security forces, and election officials, giving them instructions to ensure that the voting process remained free from any form of disturbance or bias. He paid special attention to the facilities provided for senior citizens, women, and differently-abled voters. Ramps, drinking water, shaded waiting areas, and wheelchairs were made available to make voting convenient and inclusive for everyone.
Parashar also spoke to several voters during his visit and encouraged them to take part in the democratic process. He praised the enthusiasm of the people of Rohtas and said that high voter participation was a sign of a healthy democracy. “It is heartening to see people turning out in large numbers to cast their votes peacefully,” he said.
Appreciating the district administration’s efforts, Parashar noted that polling in Rohtas was proceeding smoothly without any major issues. He added that every phase of voting was being carefully monitored to ensure compliance with all Election Commission rules. Officials from the local administration and the election department accompanied him during the inspection, reinforcing the message that the government is committed to conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections across Bihar.
