Patna: Police have registered an FIR against three individuals, including a named accused identified as Chandan, following allegations of molestation and assault of a young woman during an event at a guest house in the SBI Officers’ Colony area under the Shastri Nagar police station limits.
According to police, the case was lodged on the basis of a written complaint submitted by the victim, who works for an event management company and was present at the venue as part of her professional duties.
Allegations During Event Show
As per the complaint, an event programme was underway at the guest house late at night when some youths present at the venue allegedly began making lewd remarks and behaving inappropriately towards the woman.
The complainant alleged that when she objected to the behaviour, Chandan and two unidentified associates attempted to molest her. She further alleged that the accused assaulted her when she resisted.
Emergency Call for Assistance
Following the incident, a tense situation reportedly developed at the venue. According to the complaint, the woman contacted the emergency response service Dial 112 after finding herself in distress.
A police team subsequently reached the guest house and spoke to the complainant regarding the allegations.
FIR Registered, Search Underway
Police said an FIR has been registered against Chandan and two unidentified individuals based on the victim’s statement.
Investigators have launched efforts to trace and arrest the accused. Police teams are conducting raids at multiple locations as part of the investigation.
Officials said further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing probe.
