Patna: Police have arrested the manager of Hidden Villa Hotel in Patna’s Rupaspur area along with a hotel staff member in connection with the alleged molestation and attempted abduction of a female student staying at the property.
The accused have been identified as Rohit, the hotel manager, and another staff member known as ‘Kaju’. Both have been sent to judicial custody. Earlier, Rupaspur police had arrested the prime accused, Satyendra Kumar, in the case.
According to police officials, the arrests followed findings of alleged negligence and irregularities in the functioning of the hotel management during the investigation.
Incident Took Place During Student’s Stay in Patna
Police said the victim, a student from Begusarai, had travelled to Patna with her father to appear for a polytechnic entrance examination. The two checked into Hidden Villa Hotel on Saturday night.
At around midnight, an allegedly intoxicated man entered their room and attempted to drag the student outside after grabbing her hand, police said. Her screams alerted her father, who intervened and resisted the accused. The man later fled the room.
Questions Raised Over Hotel Security Measures
The victim’s father alleged that despite collecting their identification documents, the hotel staff failed to properly record guest details in the register. He also claimed that the room door lock was defective, allowing easy access to the room.
According to the complaint, the family faced intimidation from hotel staff after informing police about the incident. The father further alleged that when police sought CCTV footage from the premises, hotel employees claimed that the cameras were not functioning.

Following further questioning of hotel employees, police arrested the manager and another staff member for their alleged role and negligence in the matter.
Officials said preliminary findings indicate that hotel regulations and safety protocols were not being properly followed.
Probe Underway into Alleged Illegal Activities
