Patna, June 16: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Tuesday organised Sahyog Shivirs across all its administrative zones, receiving 279 applications from residents seeking solutions to civic and public service-related issues. Of these, 161 applications were related to the Corporation, while 77 complaints were resolved on the spot.
The camps were set up as part of the civic body’s grievance redressal initiative aimed at providing direct access to officials and speeding up the resolution of public complaints. According to PMC, the on-the-spot disposal accounted for nearly 48% of all Corporation-related applications received during the day.
Citizens raise civic and departmental concerns
Residents submitted applications concerning sanitation, civic amenities and municipal services, along with issues related to other government departments. All applications were registered on the Sahyog portal and applicants were provided referral numbers to track the status of their grievances.
PMC officials said citizens can monitor the progress of their applications online or seek updates at future Sahyog Shivirs using their referral numbers.

Public representatives attend camps
The camps were attended by elected representatives, including MLAs, the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, ward councillors and senior Corporation officials. Public representatives and officials interacted directly with residents, heard their concerns and issued directions for prompt action wherever required.
PMC stated that officials and staff were instructed to handle every application with urgency and ensure that grievances were addressed as quickly as possible.
