Patna: A Tiranga Yatra will be held in Patna Today from JP Golambar to Kargil Chowk as part of the Bihar government’s Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will lead the procession, according to the state Department of Art and Culture. The campaign aims to promote public participation, national unity and awareness around the national flag ahead of Independence Day.
Events Across Patna
The state government has planned several activities under the campaign, including the Tiranga Yatra, ‘Selfie with Tiranga’, Tiranga-themed lighting, Tiranga Rangoli and collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’.
The department said similar activities are being organised across Bihar to encourage participation in the campaign.
4,000 Flags For Each Administrative Block
As part of the campaign, 4,000 Tricolour flags are being provided to each administrative block. Authorities are also working to ensure the availability and distribution of the national flag at schools, colleges and public institutions.
The campaign seeks to encourage people to display the national flag and strengthen public participation in Independence Day-related activities.
Security And Traffic Arrangements
Various departments have been assigned responsibilities for the procession. Authorities have planned route sanitisation and the deployment of police personnel and magistrates along the route.
Arrangements have also been made for traffic management, crowd control and emergency evacuation during the event.
Minister Dr Pramod Kumar has appealed to people across Bihar to participate in the Tiranga Yatra and other activities under the campaign.
