Patna: Patna University has begun recording lectures through a newly established digital studio, in a move aimed at improving access to academic content for students.
The facility, inaugurated last week, is now operational and will allow faculty members to record lectures during class sessions. The university plans to upload these recordings to its official YouTube channel, with at least two lectures expected to be produced daily.
A roster of teachers from all departments has been prepared to streamline the recording process. Faculty members will use the studio according to a fixed schedule. So far, three lectures have already been recorded, including sessions from the departments of geology, physics and mathematics. These are expected to be uploaded in the coming days.
University officials said a dedicated team has been set up to oversee the studio’s operations, including video editing and content management. The recordings will also be made available through the university’s website, allowing students to revisit lectures at their convenience.
All students will receive direct links to subject-wise lectures, a step intended to support revision and improve academic performance. The university also plans to expand the use of the studio to include research-related activities in the future.
