Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-profile road show in Patna on Sunday evening, drawing large crowds and generating momentum for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
The 40-minute procession began with PM Modi paying floral tributes at the statue of national poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar in Rajendra Nagar. He then boarded an open chariot at Dinkar Golambar, accompanied by former JD(U) national president and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lallan Singh, and six NDA candidates.

Thousands of residents, alongside party workers from various constituencies, lined the streets to welcome the Prime Minister. Supporters showered flowers from balconies and windows, while women performed aarti from rooftops at several points along the route. Stages were set up along the 1.6-kilometre route, featuring tableaux, Chhath songs, and other folk performances.
This marked PM Modi’s second election road show in Patna within 18 months, following his campaign during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Senior NDA leaders and a large contingent of party workers were present at the launch venue, reflecting the scale of the mobilisation.

The chariot traversed key city locations including Dinkar Golambar, Thakurbari, Bari Path, and Bakarganj, before concluding at Udyog Bhawan near Gandhi Maidan in the Bankipur assembly constituency. Co-passengers included BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, and NDA candidates Nitin Nabin, Sanjeev Chaurasia, Sanjay Gupta, Shyam Rajak, Ram Kripal Yadav, and Ratnesh Kushwaha.
After the road show, the Prime Minister paid obeisance at the Gurudwara in Patna Sahib, where he was welcomed by senior BJP leaders and members of the Sikh community.
