Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally launch the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) election campaign for the Bihar Assembly polls today under the slogan “My Booth, Strongest.” The Prime Minister will connect virtually with party workers from all 243 assembly constituencies and interact with over 20,000 NDA workers, from booth-level volunteers to state-level leaders.
The digital and interactive event marks the first major campaign push by the NDA in Bihar, ahead of the two-phase polling scheduled for November 6 and 11.
According to sources, the Prime Minister will focus on three core aspects — voter turnout, booth management, and positive communication.
Focus on Voter Turnout and Youth Engagement
Modi is expected to direct party cadres to ensure maximum voter participation, with special attention to women and first-time voters. Strategies to increase turnout at every polling booth will be discussed in detail. The BJP-led alliance aims to translate its extensive grassroots network into measurable votes through disciplined booth-level management.
Strengthening Booth Management
The second key area will be booth-level coordination. Responsibilities will be distributed among booth in-charges, page heads, and digital outreach teams. The Prime Minister will emphasize teamwork and real-time communication between ground workers and central leadership to ensure consistent messaging and swift response during the campaign.
Promoting Government Schemes and ‘Positive Publicity’
The third pillar of Modi’s address will be about spreading awareness of central and state welfare schemes. Party workers will be instructed to amplify success stories and connect development narratives to local constituencies.
80–100 Workers per Constituency to Join Digital Interaction
Around 80 to 100 selected workers from each of Bihar’s 243 constituencies — representing the BJP, JD(U), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) — will participate in the virtual event. Each district has arranged large LED screens and digital centers for live participation.
Modi’s Reminder to Youth About ‘Jungle Raj’
The launch follows the Prime Minister’s virtual dialogue with Bihar’s youth 10 days ago, where he recalled the era of “jungle raj.”
“You have no idea of the dire situation and education system two and a half decades ago. Schools were barely functional, and children had to migrate out of Bihar. That is where the true migration began,” Modi had said, urging young voters to ensure progress continues.
Bihar Assembly Elections: Key Facts
The Election Commission has scheduled polling for November 6 and 11, just after Chhath Puja. The first phase will cover 121 seats, while the second phase will include 122. Results will be declared on November 14.
This will be the first time in 40 years that Bihar votes in two phases. The state has 7.42 crore voters, including 1.4 million first-time voters and about 14,000 centenarians. Those unable to reach polling booths can vote from home using Form 12D.
Bihar will have 90,712 polling stations, with 76,801 in rural areas and 13,911 in urban locations. Every polling station will be webcasted, and 1,350 have been designated as model booths to offer better facilities to voters. Mobile phones will be allowed at polling stations for the first time.
The “My Booth, Strongest” campaign aims to energize the NDA cadre ahead of what is expected to be one of Bihar’s most competitive elections in recent years.
