Patna: The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna has announced that its adjunct professor, Nripendra Rana, has been placed 8th in the United Kingdom and 68th globally in the field of Business and Management in the 2025–26 rankings released by Research.com.
The rankings are based on data compiled from multiple academic sources, including Google Scholar, OpenAlex, Crossref and IPEDS, according to Research.com.

Professor Nripendra Rana has been recognised for his research output and academic influence, with the latest ranking placing him among leading scholars in his field globally.
CIMP said the recognition highlights his academic contributions and reflects his engagement with international research communities.
Academic Background
Born in Shubhai Garh village in Hajipur, Bihar, Rana comes from a farming family and completed his early education in government schools.
He has previously worked in academia and industry roles, including teaching at Sikkim Manipal University and working in the software sector in Bengaluru. He later pursued an MBA and PhD from Swansea University.
Career and International Roles
Rana has held academic positions at institutions including the University of Bradford and Qatar University.
He is currently Professor of Digital Marketing and Systems at Queen’s University Belfast and heads the Department of International Business, Entrepreneurship and Marketing at its Queen’s Business School.
Research Output and Academic Impact
According to publicly available academic records cited by Research.com, Rana has authored more than 400 research publications, co-edited multiple academic books and served in editorial roles for international journals.
