Patna: Addressing a press conference at the Karpoori Auditorium of the RJD state office, Chief Spokesperson of Bihar Rashtriya Janata Dal, Shakti Singh Yadav, accused the ruling party of allowing institutional corruption to flourish in the state. Speaking in the presence of National Spokesperson Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav, State Spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed, Arun Kumar Yadav, and Arzoo Khan, he claimed that Bihar is being governed by retired officials acting according to their whims, with corruption rampant at all levels.
Shakti Singh Yadav stated that the revelation of the alleged “DK Tax” system has caused significant unease in the ruling party’s camps. He criticized the government for avoiding the truth and challenged them to openly address Tejashwi Yadav’s accusations. According to him, the influence of a so-called “Super CM” named DK Boss has created divisions among officials, with some voicing their concerns about the oppressive system. He added that the DK Tax has become pervasive, affecting operations at the Panchayat, Block, and Police Station levels.
Yadav further alleged that casteism is evident in the transfer and posting process under the current administration. He accused the government of levying additional taxes through illegal means, such as land acquisition and mining, and suggested that these activities are protected by those in power. Referring to the Muzaffarpur Shelter Home case, he claimed that proper action was deliberately avoided to shield the main accused, and incidents of atrocities against women have been rising across the state.
He also criticized the misuse of the government treasury and claimed that the administration relies on false arguments to maintain its authority. He highlighted the role of retired officials in turning transfers and postings into a thriving industry, stating that this reality is visible in the way governance is being conducted.
The press conference concluded with a strong demand for accountability from the ruling party and a call for appreciation of those raising their voices against alleged corruption.
