Patna: Spiritual leader Sadhguru visited Bihar Museum in Patna on Sunday and appreciated the institution’s efforts in preserving and showcasing India’s rich cultural and archaeological heritage. During his visit, he spent nearly 90 minutes exploring the museum’s galleries and praised its modern presentation of history and civilisation.
Sadhguru was welcomed by Bihar Museum Director General Anjani Kumar Singh, who presented him with a bouquet. Additional Director Ashok Kumar Sinha and In-charge Additional Director Ranbir Singh Rajput were also present during the visit.
Explored Historical and Regional Art Galleries
Sadhguru toured the museum’s historical and regional art galleries for around one and a half hours. During the visit, Director General Anjani Kumar Singh briefed him on the historical significance of the artefacts preserved in the museum and the conservation measures being undertaken to protect them for future generations.
Appreciates Terracotta Artworks and Yakshini Statue
Among the exhibits, Sadhguru particularly admired the terracotta artefacts, ancient man-made tools and the iconic Yakshini statue, praising their artistic excellence. He also showed keen interest in the Brahmi script display and took a printed copy of the script as a keepsake.
Calls Bihar Museum an Outstanding Institution
After completing the tour, Sadhguru described Bihar Museum as an outstanding institution that presents India’s rich history, culture and civilisation in a modern and engaging manner. He also appreciated the museum’s efforts in preserving and displaying the country’s invaluable heritage for visitors.
