Patna: Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Tuesday issued a stern warning to criminals, saying they should leave Bihar if they want to avoid strict police action. Addressing a public gathering during his Sahyog Shivir Yatra in Kaimur district, he said offenders who continue to commit crimes in the state would face a response from law enforcement within 48 hours.
“I have told the police to first ask criminals to leave Bihar. It is in their own interest. If they stay and continue committing crimes, it will be treated as a challenge, and the police will respond within 48 hours,” the Chief Minister said.
He added that the government was committed to making Bihar crime-free and would not tolerate criminal activities.
‘No Place for Criminals in Bihar’
Reiterating his government’s stance on law and order, Chaudhary assured residents that criminals would not be allowed to operate freely in the state.
“There is no place for criminals in Bihar. Those who continue to engage in criminal activities will face strict action. The people of Bihar expect us to act, and we will not disappoint them,” he said.
Teachers Must Deliver Quality Education
During the programme, the Chief Minister also spoke about teacher postings and accountability. He said the government would take steps to ensure the convenience of teachers while expecting them to fulfil their responsibilities in classrooms.
According to Chaudhary, women teachers are being posted in nearby panchayats and male teachers in nearby blocks to reduce commuting difficulties.
“The government will take care of teachers’ convenience, but they must ensure quality education for children. There will be no compromise on teaching and learning outcomes,” he said.
Mundeshwari Dham to Get Four-Lane Connectivity
The Chief Minister announced that Mundeshwari Dham would be connected to the under-construction Varanasi–Ranchi–Kolkata Expressway through a four-lane road.
He said the project would improve access for pilgrims and boost tourism in the region.
“Devotees from across the country should be able to reach Mundeshwari Dham easily. The four-lane connectivity will help develop the site into a major tourism destination,” he said.
Ropeway Foundation Stone Likely After Monsoon
Chaudhary also indicated progress on the long-pending ropeway project at Mundeshwari Dham. Referring to demands raised by local representatives, including Minister Jama Khan, he said efforts would be made to begin the project after the monsoon season.
“My effort will be to return after the rains and lay the foundation stone for the ropeway project,” he said.
