Patna: The newly appointed Industrial Minister of Bihar, Shreyasi Singh, officially assumed charge of the Department of Industries on Friday. On her arrival at the department office, she was welcomed by Secretary Kundan Kumar, who presented her with a floral bouquet. After the brief welcome ceremony, she formally took over responsibilities as the head of the department.
Soon after taking charge, the minister was given a detailed briefing about the department’s ongoing work. Secretary Kundan Kumar explained various government schemes, current industrial projects, and progress being made in different areas. A PowerPoint presentation was also shown, covering topics such as industrial development in Bihar, investment promotion efforts, infrastructure growth, and facilities being provided to investors.
During the meeting, key focus areas of the department were discussed in detail. Officials highlighted how the state is trying to improve its industrial environment by attracting more investment and strengthening basic infrastructure. The presentation also explained the steps being taken to make Bihar more business-friendly and supportive for entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the occasion, Shreyasi Singh said that getting the responsibility of the Industrial Department is both an honour and a serious responsibility. She said that the state government is working continuously to promote industrial growth and create a better environment for investors. According to her, transparency and ease of doing business will remain top priorities.
She further said that the department will work with full commitment to create jobs, increase industrial activities, and attract more investment into Bihar. She also stressed that government services related to industries will be made faster, simpler, and more efficient so that businesses do not face unnecessary delays.
Officials present at the event said that under the new leadership, the department is expected to focus more on improving systems and speeding up processes. The emphasis will be on making Bihar’s industrial sector more active and helping the state move forward in terms of economic development.
