Patna: The 323rd Annual Urs-e-Qalandari began on Tuesday at Khanqah Emadia Qalandariya, Mangal Talab, Patna City, under the guidance of Hazrat Raeesul Mashaikh, Syed Shah Misbahul Haque Emadi, Sajjada Nashin of the Khanqah. The event opened with Qur’an recitation after Fajr prayer, followed by a Mehfil-e-Sama where qawwals rendered soulful Sufi poetry. The first day concluded with Qul Sharif, marking the formal start of the three-day celebration.
In the evening, the “Jalsa-e-Azmat-e-Hadees & Khatm-e-Bukhari Sharif” was held at Markazi Darul Uloom Emadia, drawing noted scholars and guests. Students delivered speeches in Arabic and English on knowledge, ethics, and service to faith.
Speakers included Maulana Syed Shah Mujeebul Haque Emadi, Maulana Syed Shah Salman Chishti, and Maulana Muzammil Hussain Azhari, who addressed the audience with spiritual insights. Hazrat Raeesul Mashaikh then delivered the final Dars of Sahih Bukhari Sharif, followed by the Dastar-e-Fazilat ceremony honouring 27 graduates, including Muftis, Fazils, Qaris, and Huffaz.
Renowned Naat reciters enriched the evening with tributes to Prophet Muhammad. The program ended with special prayers for peace, prosperity, and the progress of the Ummah.
The Urs continues with Chadarposhi at Phulwari Sharif on November 13 and will conclude on November 14 with Qul and Mehfil-e-Sama after Fajr prayer.
