Patna: With polling for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 now complete, a sense of calm and quiet has settled over the state’s political offices. The feverish campaign activity that had gripped Bihar for weeks has abruptly given way to an uneasy silence as leaders and workers await the results to be announced on 14 November.
At the headquarters of major parties — including the RJD, JDU, BJP, and Congress — the once-bustling corridors were nearly empty on Wednesday. The slogans, strategy meetings, and rallies that defined the past month have faded into introspection. After days of relentless campaigning, many political workers have retreated to their constituencies and families, taking stock and sharing feedback from the ground.
The BJP state headquarters in Patna, usually a hive of activity, appeared subdued, with leaders closely monitoring discussions on news channels and social media. In other party offices, short meetings replaced the usual chaos, with most conversations centring around possible outcomes and internal assessments.
Political observers describe this lull as a mix of electoral exhaustion and quiet anticipation — a collective breath before the storm. “It’s that tense calm before the EVMs are opened,” one party insider remarked.
