Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Sudhakar Singh on Monday accused the Bihar government and senior bureaucrats of involvement in the Bihar tender scam, calling for a court-monitored investigation into the matter.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, the Buxar MP alleged that nine IAS officers, including senior bureaucrat Anand Kishore, should be investigated in connection with the case. The allegations have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate response from those named.
Calls For Judicial Oversight
Singh demanded that the investigation be conducted under court supervision, drawing comparisons with the judicial oversight that accompanied the Fodder Scam investigation.
He argued that an independent probe was necessary to establish accountability and ensure public confidence in the investigation.
Allegations Against Senior Officials
During the press conference, Singh alleged that irregularities in Bihar’s Education Department began during Anand Kishore’s tenure and claimed that competitive examinations conducted over the past decade had been marred by repeated controversies.
Referring to Bihar’s earlier Topper Scam, he alleged that similar irregularities had surfaced in the present case.

The RJD leader further accused Anand Kishore of playing a central role in the alleged tender irregularities and claimed that the first contract linked to Rishu Shree had been awarded during his tenure.
Singh also alleged that the purported irregularities were carried out under the patronage of Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and claimed that nine IAS officers bore responsibility for the affair.
Government Yet To Respond
The Bihar government has not issued an official response to the allegations made by Singh at the time of publication.
The allegations made during the press conference remain claims by the opposition leader and have not been established in court.
