Supaul: The Bihar government has taken a firm stance amid the mass leave of revenue service officers, prioritising uninterrupted delivery of public services and grievance redressal.
In Supaul, the district administration issued an order reallocating responsibilities across multiple zones to ensure that work related to land and revenue matters continues without disruption.
According to an official memorandum issued by the establishment branch of the Supaul collectorate and signed by district magistrate Sawan Kumar, alternate charge has been assigned to officers not participating in the mass leave.
The order, referencing directions from the Revenue and Land Reforms Department Bihar, emphasised that resolving public complaints—particularly those raised during the chief minister’s outreach programmes—remains a top priority.
Officials have been directed to ensure there is no delay in key services such as land mutation, corrections, issuance of certificates, settlement of land disputes and removal of encroachments.
Several officers have been given additional responsibilities as in-charge circle officers across the district. These include Sandeep Kumar in Supaul, Rakesh Kumar in Chhatapur, Akanksha Kumari in Raghopur and Riya Raj in Pratapganj.
Others appointed to additional roles include Shaheena Begum for Nirmali and Marouna, Nandkishore Prasad Nirala for Kishanpur, Swaminath Ram for Saraigarh Bhaptiyahi, Syed Salim Ahmed for Basantpur and Chandrabhanu Kumar for Pipra.
In total, the implemented has been implemented across 10 zones of the district.
The administration has also granted these officers full financial powers under the Bihar Treasury Code, enabling them to function as Drawing and Disbursing Officers to ensure that development schemes and revenue-related operations continue smoothly.
Block development officers have been instructed to oversee the proper handover of responsibilities, including official documents, digital access credentials, equipment and financial records.
The move is aimed at maintaining administrative continuity and preventing disruption to essential public services during the ongoing situation.
