Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has claimed he will expose a group of “five families” whom he accuses of conspiring to end his political and personal life.
In a late-night post on X (formerly Twitter), Tej Pratap alleged that these families had “tried their best to completely destroy” his career and standing. “In my more than ten years of political life, I have never wronged anyone or conspired against anyone,” he wrote. “But tomorrow I will bring both the face and character of these five families before the public. I will expose each of their conspiracies.”

The statement comes at a turbulent moment for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ahead of the Bihar assembly elections. Prime minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address rallies in Gaya and Bodh Gaya on Friday, while the opposition is carrying out a “voter adhikar yatra” across the state.
Tej Pratap’s announcement has added to the political stir, with speculation mounting about whom he will name. He has frequently accused “Jaichands” – a term used to describe betrayers – of working against him, and previously singled out Akash Yadav.
The estranged RJD leader was expelled from both the party and his family in May, after posting photographs with Anushka Yadav on Facebook, claiming the two had been in a relationship for 12 years. The post was later deleted, but the images went viral online. The next day, Lalu Prasad Yadav announced Tej Pratap’s expulsion, prompting him to declare he would contest elections under his own banner, “Team Tej Pratap.”
Since then, he has issued repeated attacks on his brother Tejashwi Yadav and other party figures, suggesting they have sidelined him. In his latest post, Tej Pratap said he suspected those he accuses had also acted “by taking money from RSS-BJP people” and vowed to provide “full details” in his disclosure.
