Patna: Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss winner Vindu Dara Singh visited Patna on Friday to participate in a blood donation camp organised by the BJP NRI Cell, as part of the party’s Seva Pakhwada (service fortnight) programme commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The event was held at Shivaji Park in Kankarbagh, drawing large crowds of volunteers and citizens.
Singh personally donated blood at the camp, calling the act “true service” and urging young people to participate. “Blood donation is essential for building a healthy and strong society. Such programmes help raise awareness and encourage social responsibility,” he said.
The actor also voiced political support for the NDA, stating that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India was achieving “new heights of development.” He added that the people of Bihar were likely to back the NDA once again in the upcoming assembly elections.
Manish Sinha, coordinator of the BJP NRI Cell, described Singh’s presence as inspiring. “Celebrating Prime Minister Modi’s birthday through Seva Pakhwada is a matter of pride. Today’s participation shows that citizens are eager to serve society,” he said.
The Seva Pakhwada initiative runs from September 17 to October 2, Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, and includes a range of activities such as blood donation camps, health check-ups, cleanliness drives, tree plantations, and exhibitions. The BJP has also planned events distributing assistive devices to differently-abled people, the Modi Vikas Marathon, sports festivals, and drawing competitions, highlighting the campaign’s emphasis on service, cleanliness, self-reliance, and nation-building.
