Patna: Asia’s largest literary festival, Unmesh, will conclude in Patna on Sunday with Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan delivering the closing address. The four-day event, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Sahitya Akademi at Gyan Bhavan, has drawn writers, scholars, and cultural figures from across the country.
The closing ceremony will be held in the Vidyapati Auditorium of Gyan Bhavan and attended by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Bihar Tourism Minister Raju Kumar Singh, Sahitya Akademi president Madhav Kaushik, and culture secretary Vivek Aggarwal.
Following the event, Radhakrishnan will travel to Muzaffarpur for his first visit to Bihar since assuming office as Vice President. He is expected to arrive in Katra at 1 p.m. to visit the Chamunda Sthan temple.
Preparations in the district have intensified, with roads repaired, the temple complex cleaned, and security measures reinforced. A helipad has been constructed near Bhadai Chowk on NH-527C, around three kilometres from the temple, where two helicopters conducted test flights in advance of his arrival.
Authorities said special arrangements had been made to ensure smooth travel and security during the Vice President’s visit.
