Rahul Gandhi to Attend Freedom Fighter Jaglal Chaudhary’s Birth Anniversary Event in Patna

Bihar Congress President Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, in a press conference at the state Congress headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, shared details about the event.

Patna: Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will visit Patna on Wednesday to participate in the “Azaadi Ke Parwane” program marking the 130th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Jaglal Chaudhary. The event will be held at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall.

Bihar Congress President Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, in a press conference at the state Congress headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, shared details about the event. He emphasized that Jaglal Chaudhary’s life was a testament to sacrifice and patriotism. Despite belonging to a community traditionally involved in liquor production, he introduced prohibition laws as Excise Minister, prioritizing social reform over personal or community interests. Rahul Gandhi will pay tribute to Jaglal Chaudhary and other freedom fighters at 11:30 AM at the event.

Congress Secretary-in-Charge Sushil Kumar Pasi stated that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Patna is part of the “Azaadi Ke Parwane” initiative. He will honor both known and unknown freedom fighters who contributed to India’s independence. The event will also feature members of the Jaglal Chaudhary Memorial Organizing Committee, including convener Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, along with senior Congress leaders and party workers.

The press conference was attended by Bihar Congress President Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Congress Co-Incharges Sushil Kumar Pasi and Shahnawaz Alam, AICC Secretaries Poonam Paswan, Touqeer Alam, Premchand Mishra, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Brajesh Pandey, Nirmal Verma, and Media Department Chairman Rajesh Rathore. Other Congress leaders present included Brajesh Prasad Munna, Lal Babu Lal, Bunty Chaudhary, Anand Madhav, Gyan Ranjan, Saurabh Sinha, Shishir Kaundilya, and Nidhi Pandey.
