Civil Service Officers Showcase Artistic Talent at National Competition in Patna

Patna: The “All India Civil Services Music, Dance and Short Drama Competition 2024-25,” inaugurated on Tuesday, has captivated audiences at Urja Stadium, Rajvanshi Nagar here. Organized by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation under the guidance of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India, the event showcases the diverse talents of civil service officers from across the nation.

Wednesday’s performances saw officers from various states deliver compelling presentations, blending artistic expression with social commentary, patriotism, and human emotion. The competition, running until March 3, aims to foster interest in arts and culture and provide a national platform for these talented individuals.

Participating secretariats on Wednesday included those from Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, RSB Chandigarh, RSB Hyderabad, and RSB Mumbai.

Powerful Dramas Address Social Issues and Human Relationships:

Civil Service Officers Showcase Artistic Talent at National Competition in Patna

Haryana Secretariat’s play, “Rape,” tackled the sensitive issue of societal double standards towards women, depicting a young woman’s struggle for justice after being assaulted by a trusted figure. RSB Mumbai presented “Univanchi Goshtha,” a poignant portrayal of a blind man and a mute woman’s married life, emphasizing the importance of acceptance and mutual support. RSB Chandigarh’s “Sankramana” explored the generation gap and the need for compromise between tradition and modernity within family relationships.

Bihar Team Impresses with Historical Drama:

Civil Service Officers Showcase Artistic Talent at National Competition in Patna

The Bihar Secretariat team received widespread acclaim for their rendition of the historical drama “Porus Sikandar.” The play highlighted the unwavering spirit and self-respect of India, conveying a powerful message of resilience and the preservation of national pride even in the face of adversity. The performance emphasized the enduring strength of the Indian spirit.

The competition effectively used the stage to address relevant social issues and deliver impactful messages. Organizing Secretary Rahul Kumar (IAS), along with Vijay Prakash Meena (IAS), Abhishek Ranjan (IAS), Vinod Duhan (IAS), Sahila (IAS), Pratibha Rani (IAS), Nikhil Dhanrajar Nippanikar (IAS), Shekhar Anand (IAS), Ashutosh Dwivedi (IAS), and other dignitaries were present throughout the day’s performances.
