Patna: Indian Railways has announced a surge in special trains from Bihar to accommodate the increased number of people travelling after Holi. Trains will operate from multiple districts, including Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, and Raxaul, to various destinations across the country.
Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra confirmed that the additional services are aimed at facilitating the movement of students and working professionals returning to their respective states.
Special Trains from Patna, Danapur, and Rajgir
- Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special (02435): Runs six days a week (except Tuesdays) until March 21, departing Patna at 8.30 am and reaching New Delhi at 8.10 pm.
- Rajendra Nagar-New Delhi Clone Special (02393): Departs from Rajendra Nagar at 7.45 am (except Thursdays) until March 31, reaching New Delhi at 12.10 pm the next day.
- Danapur-Anand Vihar Special (03257): Operates on March 16, 23, and 30, leaving Danapur at 7.30 am and arriving at Anand Vihar at 12.30 am.
- Patna-Delhi Superfast Festival Special (04061): Runs daily until March 18, departing Patna at 5.50 am and reaching Delhi at 10.25 am the next day.
- Rajgir-Anand Vihar Superfast Festival Special (04069): Leaves Rajgir on March 18 at 11.30 am, stopping at Patna Junction and reaching Anand Vihar at 2.10 pm the next day.
