Patna: Passengers travelling by train from Buxar and other stations under the Danapur division will soon get a new and safer food experience. The railway administration has started giving QR code-based identity cards to all vendors working at food stalls. This step has been taken after the order of the Railway Board. The aim is to make sure that no fake vendors sell food and that passengers get safe and hygienic meals during their journey.
The new identity cards will be very simple for passengers to use. Each card will have a QR code printed on it. Passengers can scan the code with their mobile phones and see complete details of the vendor, such as their name, photograph, address and other important information. This will make it very clear whether the person selling food is authorized by the railways or not. The old identity cards are slowly being replaced by this new system at all stations in the division.
Railway officials believe this step will bring transparency and better control over catering services. It will also make it easier for the administration to keep track of vendors and check if they are following the rules. By removing unauthorized vendors, food quality and hygiene are expected to improve, giving passengers a safer and better travel experience.
For passengers, this system means more security and peace of mind. They will know they are buying food only from authorized sellers. This will also help avoid health risks from unsafe or poor-quality food. The railways are calling this a major improvement for passenger convenience and safety, as it will ensure that everyone travelling through Buxar and other stations in Danapur division can trust the food they eat.
