Patna: Mr. Rahul Kumar (IAS), Managing Director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) and Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL), inspected the construction work of the Green GIS Grid Substation PMCH on Tuesday.
During the inspection, the Managing Director conducted a detailed review of the project’s progress and directed the construction agency to expedite all work. In particular, he stressed the need to complete the ongoing transmission line work across the Ganga River to supply power to this grid substation before the arrival of the monsoon season.
The project implementing agency has assured that the construction of the grid substation will be completed by July 2026. Furthermore, with the timely completion of the transmission line work, the grid substation will be energized by March 2027.
The Managing Director directed the project to be completed within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring high quality work. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure regular monitoring and continuous review of work progress.
The PMCH Grid Sub-Station is a crucial project given Patna’s increasing power load. It will ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply to PMCH, as well as to areas such as SK Memorial, Collectorate, NIT, Rajendra Nagar, and Machhua Toli.
