Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan is preparing for a major overhaul of the party’s organisational structure, with a new national executive committee and changes in state-level leadership likely to be announced soon, according to sources.

The proposed restructuring is expected to cover several states, including Bihar, as the party looks to strengthen its organisation and expand its grassroots presence.

Surendra Vivek may become Bihar state president

A possible change in the LJP (Ramvilas) leadership in Bihar has emerged as one of the key developments in the proposed reshuffle.

Sources indicate that Surendra Vivek could be given the responsibility of Bihar state president. However, the party has not officially confirmed his name, and the final decision is expected to become clear only after the formal announcement.

If the change takes place, it would mark an important shift in the party’s organisational strategy in Bihar.

Organisational changes likely in other states

The proposed reshuffle is not expected to be restricted to Bihar. Party units in several other states could also see changes in their organisational teams.

According to sources, the new structure may include a combination of experienced leaders and younger faces. Several relatively new leaders could be given responsibilities in the proposed national team as part of the effort to build a broader organisational base.

Chirag Paswan pushes for greater youth, women participation

Increasing the participation of young people and women is reportedly a key component of Chirag Paswan’s organisational strategy.

The new team could see greater representation from both groups, alongside an effort to maintain a balance based on social and regional considerations.

The party is expected to focus on strengthening its presence at the grassroots level and connecting with younger voters as it prepares for its next phase of political expansion.

Focus on strengthening the organisation

The proposed changes are aimed at making the party’s organisational machinery more active and strengthening its presence beyond its traditional support base.

The leadership is also expected to place greater emphasis on booth- and grassroots-level organisation, with new responsibilities likely to be assigned to leaders across different regions.

Official announcement awaited

For now, LJP (Ramvilas) has not officially announced either its new national executive committee or a change in the Bihar state president.

Therefore, the reported possibility of Surendra Vivek taking over as Bihar state president remains unconfirmed. The final picture will emerge only after the party formally announces its new organisational structure.
