Patna: Aishwarya Verma, who hails from Patna and now lives in the United States, has been crowned Miss India Washington 2025. She received the title during the 13th annual Global Women’s Festival, held on November 30 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton.
The festival, organised by AmPowering, is one of the most prominent women’s empowerment events in the US, celebrating leadership, culture, social impact and artistic achievement. The Miss India Washington pageant is a key feature of the event, drawing participants from across Washington state.
Verma’s selection marks a moment of pride for Bihar, with celebrations reported among the Indian community in Washington as well as her family and supporters in Patna.
The competition tested participants on personality, public speaking, cultural identity, confidence, talent and commitment to social causes. As state winner, Verma will now represent Washington at the Miss India USA pageant to be held in New Jersey in February, where winners from across the country will compete for the national crown.
Originally from Patna, Verma moved to the US four years ago to pursue her postgraduate studies. She now works as an AI engineer and has been active in initiatives promoting women’s empowerment, girls’ education and leadership in STEM fields. She describes her win as both personal and symbolic.
“Being crowned at the Global Women’s Festival is a moment of immense pride,” she said. “This isn’t just my victory — it’s a victory for every girl who dreams big. I want girls in Bihar to know they can make a place for themselves in technology, leadership and every decision-making field.”
Her rise from Patna to the national stage of the Miss India USA pageant has been hailed as an inspiring story of ambition, talent and representation.
