Patna: The Bihar government has announced plans to construct a glass bridge at Ajgaivinath Dham, following the success of a similar attraction in Rajgir, in a move aimed at boosting tourism and local employment.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha revealed that the project is scheduled for completion before the annual Shravani Mela, allowing devotees visiting the sacred site on the banks of the Ganges to experience the new attraction.
Speaking on the initiative, Sinha said the bridge would not only enhance religious tourism but also provide significant economic opportunities for the surrounding community. “This project represents a fusion of faith and modern infrastructure, strengthening Bihar’s identity while contributing to local development,” he said.
Ajgaivinath Dham is already a major pilgrimage site, and officials believe that the introduction of contemporary facilities like the glass bridge will further elevate its profile. The project is part of the state’s broader strategy to develop tourism infrastructure and realise the vision of a “Viksit Bihar” (Developed Bihar).
