Arrah: The Bhojpur district registration department has fully embraced digital services, enabling residents to download land registration deeds dating back to 1990 with a few clicks.
Under the e-registration initiative, registry offices in Ara, Jagdishpur and Piro now provide online access to documents from 1990 onwards for a fee of Rs 600. The facility also covers deeds registered in other districts across Bihar, accessible via the state’s registration portal, enibandhan.bihar.gov.in.
Officials say the digitisation of more than three decades of land records has streamlined access, eliminating the need for in-person visits to clerks or scribes. “This will save both time and money for citizens, and reduce paperwork,” said Ara sub-registrar Tarkeshwar Pandey.
The platform also offers applications for marriage registration, court marriages and loan burden certificates — a key document required by banks when issuing loans against land. Users can submit applications online and visit the registry office only on the date assigned for document verification.
