Patna: The government of Bihar has approved the recruitment of contractual staff for its Cancer Care and Research Society as part of efforts to strengthen cancer prevention, treatment and management services in the state.
The health department has cleared a proposal to create multiple posts to support the functioning of the society’s administrative structure. The body has already been set up, and its memorandum of association along with rules and regulations has been approved.
Officials said the focus now is on staffing the organisation to ensure operational efficiency.
The approved posts include senior roles such as director of operations, deputy director and director (IT), along with other technical and administrative positions. In addition, auxiliary posts such as data entry operators, multi-tasking staff and security personnel have also been created. All appointments will be made on a contractual basis.
For senior positions, eligibility criteria include qualifications such as MBBS or MD degrees with relevant professional experience. For other posts, qualifications including MBA or MCom degrees have been specified.
According to the health department, the expansion is intended to support the state’s cancer control programme and improve access to treatment and management services. Officials said the recruitment of trained personnel is expected to make the society’s functioning more structured and outcome-oriented.
