Patna: The Bihar government has announced plans to establish a new Bihar Marketing Management Corporation aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, particularly in the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector, with marketing and management assistance. The initiative forms part of the state’s broader push for industrial growth and job creation, officials said.
Speaking at a dialogue organised by the Bihar Industries Association (BIA), Industry Minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal emphasised the government’s focus on industrialisation and its vision for a job-rich, crime-free Bihar. Dr. Jaiswal also revealed proposals to create the Bihar Industrial Security Force to ensure the safety and security of business operations across the state.
Industry Interaction Day to Facilitate Entrepreneur Engagement
In a move to strengthen engagement with the business community, the state has designated every Thursday as “Industry Interaction Day,” allowing entrepreneurs to present suggestions directly to officials without prior appointments. Special committees, chaired by the Chief Secretary, have been formed to review these proposals.
During the dialogue, Dr. Jaiswal interacted with representatives from over a dozen industrial organisations. The meeting opened with a welcome address by BIA President Ramlal Khaitan, followed by a presentation of key recommendations from Sanjay Goenka, Chairman of the Manufacturing Committee. Other industry leaders, including Gaurav Sah, Chairman of the CII Bihar Chapter, were also present alongside Usha Jha, Deepak Kumar Chaurasia, Naresh Bhatt, NK Agarwal, Arun Mishra, Ashok Mitraka, Ravindra Kumar Singh, Rakesh Mishra, Prem Narayan Prasad, and Kalpana Kumari.
Government Assures Incentive Payments and Policy Support
In a separate meeting at the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Dr. Jaiswal assured entrepreneurs that all incentives under the state’s Industrial Policy would be implemented promptly. Chamber President PK Agarwal requested an extension of the Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025, allocation of freehold industrial land, and adjustment of incentives impacted by GST reductions.
Former Chamber President Subhash Kumar Patwari submitted a memorandum highlighting key demands, including easing land allotment and sub-leasing policies under BIADA for manufacturing units. Vice President NK Thakur, along with members Vishal Tekriwal, Mukesh Jain, Rajesh Jain, AKP Sinha, Ashish Shankar, Pradeep Chaurasia, and Sunil Saraf, were also present.
