Patna: The state of Bihar is getting a lot of attention at World Food India 2025, which started in Delhi on Thursday. This is the fourth edition of the mega food event, and Bihar has set up a special pavilion called Invest Bihar to show the world why the state is ready for new businesses and investment. The Bihar Pavilion has been decorated with the themes Invest Bihar, Bihar Hai Taiyaar, Advantage Bihar, Startup Bihar and MSME. The goal is to tell investors that Bihar has big opportunities in the food processing sector.
The pavilion was inaugurated by B. Karthikeya, Secretary of the Industries Department, Government of Bihar. He said that Bihar is one of the best places for investment because it has the right resources, manpower, and government support. He also said that the state government is giving many benefits and incentives to businesses that want to set up factories or units in Bihar.
There are 12 stalls at the Bihar Pavilion, and each stall is run by an entrepreneur or company from Bihar. These stalls are showing a mix of traditional food products and new innovations. Visitors can see, taste, and even buy products. On the first day of the event, there was a large crowd at the Bihar Pavilion. Many foreign investors and trade representatives visited the stalls and held meetings with Bihar’s Industries Department officials to discuss possible investments in the state.
The pavilion is not just about business – it is also a celebration of Bihar’s food culture. Sudha Dairy’s stall has become one of the most popular spots with its gulab jamun, gujiya, rasgulla, and other sweets. Amit Kumar Suman, Marketing Manager of Sudha, said that Sudha has already started sending ghee and gulab jamun to the United States and Canada, and talks are going on with other countries as well.
Startups from Bihar are also grabbing attention. Agri Feeder, a startup, is showcasing moringa leaf and chickpea sattu, which many health-conscious visitors are trying for the first time. Co-founders Raman Kumar and Priya Pandey said they have created six different flavours of sattu as a healthy energy drink. They also launched wheatgrass and chickpea sattu for the first time at World Food India. Another startup, Sattuj, is getting praise for its variety of flavoured sattu products.
World Food India 2025 will run from September 25 to 28. Later in the evening, the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate the event. Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan and Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will also attend. For Bihar, the response on the first day has been very positive. The state government hopes this event will bring in big investments and create more jobs in the food processing sector in the coming years.
