BODH GAYA – The Management Development Program (MDP) titled “Contemplative Leadership Awakened by Mindfulness,” conducted in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at IIM Bodh Gaya, concluded on November 30, 2023. Mindfulness, a core value of the institute, was proudly emphasized to 17 talented government employees, including middle and senior-level managers from IOCL.
Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, highlighted the institute’s commitment to promoting conscious leadership in the corporate world through collaboration with IOCL. She expressed hope for a continued prosperous partnership in the future, acknowledging the positive impact observed on managers. The successful MDP program underscores IIM Bodh Gaya’s dedication to contributing to a better future for the nation.
Dr. V.R. Menon, Head of Learning & Development at the Marketing Division, IOCL, and Brajesh Jha, Senior Manager at the Marketing Division, IOCL, joined all participants in appreciating the workshop’s significance. They credited IIM Bodh Gaya for providing the opportunity for deep self-discovery and stressed the importance of integrating mindfulness into key leadership functions.
Conducted by Prof. Nidhi Mishra, Prof. Remya Lathabhavan, and Chairman of Executive Education Prof. Amit Srivastava, the program aligned successfully with IIM Bodh Gaya’s vision of developing mindful business leaders. Key topics discussed included stress management, dealing with unpleasant emotions, careful decision-making, and balancing time and priorities.
