Patna: Amid Independence Day celebrations on Friday, popular educator Khan Sir made an unexpected visit to Pirbahor police station in Patna, joining the station’s flag-hoisting ceremony and sharing anecdotes from his past experiences there.
Speaking after the event, Khan Sir said it was his first time participating in a flag-hoisting programme at a police station. Recalling an earlier visit, he said he had once come to the station to report a lost mobile phone at Gandhi Maidan. “At that time, the police station was in poor condition, with barely any place to sit. Today, it looks very organised and welcoming,” he said.
During the visit, Sanu Priya, a female officer at the station, approached Khan Sir for advice on preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exams. “Every time I miss selection by one or two marks, please give me some tips,” she said. Smiling, Khan Sir encouraged her, promising, “Give me your notebook; this time you will definitely be selected. Leave no stone unturned in your preparation.”
Khan Sir also spoke about his upcoming social initiatives, revealing plans to open a hospital for the underprivileged. He highlighted that diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, which typically cost 200–300 rupees, would be available at 30–35 rupees in the new facility.
Pirbahor Thanedaar Sajjad Gaddi described Khan Sir’s presence as “a very positive message for society,” while Additional SHO Javed Ahmed Khan noted that the station continues to draw inspiration from Khan Sir’s educational videos, learning new insights from his teachings.
