Under the new directives, elderly residents can access registration services via a Mobile Registration Unit, which will complete the process within seven working days. Applicants can request the service online, eliminating the need to visit government offices.
In addition, the government has introduced a system to provide buyers and sellers with up-to-date land information before registration. On request, the Registration Department will obtain the latest land status from the Circle Office, ensuring that prospective buyers have accurate information.
The Chief Minister instructed the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department to implement these measures from April 1, 2026. Citizens are invited to submit suggestions regarding the system by January 19, 2026.
He expressed confidence that the initiative would significantly ease administrative burdens for senior citizens and provide greater transparency in land transactions across the state.
