Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a large gathering in Bodhgaya on Friday, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for infrastructure and development projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will accompany him for the event, which will be held on the Magadh University campus and reach six districts and 30 assembly constituencies.
The meeting will also feature speeches from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) workers representing Gaya, Aurangabad, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Arwal and Nawada districts. This marks Modi’s sixth visit to Bihar since the Lok Sabha elections, following previous public meetings in Jamui, Madhubani, Motihari, Siwan and Vikramganj. The next assembly constituency-focused meeting is scheduled for Purnia in September.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Modi will symbolically hand over keys to 4,260 urban and 12,000 rural beneficiaries, including five principal recipients—three from rural areas and two from urban centres.
The prime minister will also flag off the Amrit Bharat Express between Gaya and Delhi and the Buddha Circuit train connecting Vaishali and Koderma.
