Patna: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has stepped up its preparations for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, announcing a fourth phase of workers’ conferences to be held across the state from September 10 to 16.
The announcement came at a joint press conference at the Janata Dal (United) office in Patna on Friday, where JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha and BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal outlined the alliance’s strategy and organisational plans.
Kushwaha said that 14 teams had been formed to conduct the district-level meetings. On September 10, conferences will be held in Manjhi, Harnaut, Jehanabad, Sultanganj, Parbatta, Nawada and Sikta, followed by Jiradei, Phulwari Sharif, Belaganj, Tarapur, Alam Nagar, Obra and Gaighat the next day. Other constituencies are scheduled through to 16 September, with events planned in Samastipur, Sheikhpura, Supaul and Mokama among others.
Declaring that the alliance would contest the polls under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Kushwaha said: “We will form the government again from 2025 to 2030.”
Jaiswal stressed the NDA’s unity, saying workers’ conferences will take place in 69 constituencies with senior leaders in attendance. “We do not show off on the road, but work on the ground along with the workers,” he said, accusing the opposition of “spreading confusion and spoiling the atmosphere.”
The BJP state president added that the NDA’s campaign would focus on reaching households across Bihar to showcase the government’s development record. He expressed confidence that the alliance would return to power “with a huge majority” in 2025.
