Patna: Senior leaders of the Janata Dal (United) have pushed back against accusations made by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying the opposition is resorting to “lies and confusion” as polling continues in Bihar.
Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, a spokesperson for the JDU, said the RJD had turned to “spreading misinformation” after sensing defeat. “When a loss looks certain, the opposition tries to mislead voters. But the people of Bihar are aware. Their tactics will fail,” he said. He added that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) remained committed to “Bihar’s development” and was confident of securing a strong mandate.
JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha also dismissed the RJD’s claims, likening the NDA’s unity to that of the “five Pandavas”. “All five NDA partners stand together, committed to building a developed Bihar,” he said. “The Mahagathbandhan tried to mislead people with hollow promises, and when that did not work, they began spreading lies. The people of Bihar can see through this.”
Jha added that the verdict on 14 November would reaffirm voter trust in the NDA. “It will again be proven that lies collapse, while truth prevails,” he said.
