Patna: Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has praised the “friendly” spirit of Patna during a visit to the city for the Starz of India Awards. Speaking at Hotel Panash, where he appeared alongside popular educator Khan Sir, the actor said he had been “welcomed wholeheartedly” by local people.
Mukesh and Khan Sir jointly inaugurated the Starz of India Awards, where the third edition of the East India Chapter Magazine 2025 was also launched. “I really enjoyed coming to Patna,” the actor said. “The people here are so friendly. I feel proud to present awards personally to the participants. Patna has a rich culture and history, and the welcoming manner of the people here is unique.”
Khan Sir described eastern India’s talent as “a new platform for inspiration”, adding that the magazine, edited by Amrita Rai Verma and Shridhar Verma, would help highlight the region’s creative achievements. “I extend my best wishes to everyone,” he said.
Verma, one of the editors, called the event “an important initiative to recognise the talent of eastern India” and expressed her gratitude to the guests.
A number of participants were honoured at the ceremony, including RJ Anjali, RJ Shashi, Syed Saheb Ali (Matargashti), Wow Vidushi, JP Yadav, Aryan Babu, Sanjay Bhushan Patiala, Anshuman Sinha and Sharda Sinha.
Aryan Babu, a Bhojpuri singer from Bihar, said the awards offered a significant platform for local artists. “People here have got the opportunity to showcase their talent, and we are proud to be a part of this event,” he said.
Shridhar Verma, one of the organisers, welcomed the guests and praised the “energy and enthusiasm” of attendees. He said the Starz of India Awards had grown into a meaningful effort to acknowledge and celebrate eastern India’s diverse talent.
