Patna: After coming out of jail, Pappu Yadav, the MP from Purnia, left for Delhi on Friday. Before boarding his flight from Patna Airport, he spoke to the media and strongly criticised the Bihar government and the police. He said the law and order situation in the state has become very serious and people no longer feel safe. According to him, crime is increasing every day and the government is failing to protect ordinary citizens.
While talking to reporters, Yadav said that journalists are being attacked, small children are being abused, and girls are going missing in different parts of Bihar. He claimed that in some cases, the authorities tried to make excuses instead of taking action. He said this shows how badly the system is working. Yadav questioned how the government can talk about development when families are scared for the safety of their daughters.
He also criticised Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, asking him to stop making political statements and start solving real problems. Yadav said crime has no caste or community and should not be linked to identity politics. “A criminal is only a criminal,” he said, adding that people want safety, not speeches.
The MP said he will raise these issues in Delhi and meet senior officials and legal authorities. He plans to approach the Lokayukta and also move the courts. Yadav also made serious allegations against senior police officers in Purnia and claimed that some leaders are protecting criminals. He promised to reveal the names of those involved in major murder cases and said he will go to the Patna High Court to seek justice.
