Hajipur: The General Manager of East Central Railway, Shri Chhatrasal Singh, conducted a window trailing inspection of the Patna-Ara rail section on Monday, reviewing track conditions, rail bridges, and station facilities. Singh expressed satisfaction with the improved maintenance of the tracks and instructed officials to ensure all measures for safe train operations are strictly implemented.
The inspection began at Danapur station, where Singh examined a campaign coach fitted with a rooftop solar power system. The flexible solar panels are expected to generate 40–45 units of electricity daily, providing a reliable alternative power source for the coach and saving an estimated Rs 1.5 lakh annually.

At Ara Junction, Singh reviewed the ongoing station redevelopment work and urged officials to complete the construction with high quality within the stipulated timeframe. The upgraded station building is set to feature modern passenger amenities and an attractive design, with additional funding allocated to accelerate the project.

Singh also inspected the server room and coaching depot at Ara, where Internet of Things (IoT) devices have been installed to enhance coach maintenance. Demonstrations highlighted how these devices enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and improved fault detection, reducing manual inspection time and enhancing passenger safety and comfort.

The inspection concluded with a meeting at the Danapur Divisional Office to discuss the master plan for future upgrades at Patna Junction and Danapur. The presentation and discussions focused on long-term improvements to accommodate increasing passenger and operational demands.

The Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur, Vinod Kumar, and other senior officials from the headquarters and division accompanied Singh throughout the inspection.
