Patna: Patna Municipal Commissioner Yashpal Meena chaired a review meeting today to assess the progress of various development and sanitation schemes across the city’s municipal zones.
During the session, executive officers from all zones presented updates on ongoing projects, highlighting work quality, implementation status, and adherence to deadlines. Discussions focused on ensuring that schemes are executed efficiently and meet the required standards.

Following the review, Meena directed senior officers at the municipal headquarters to conduct regular site inspections in their assigned zones, monitor progress firsthand, and take corrective action where necessary. Inspection reports are to be submitted to the headquarters to maintain accountability.
In a move aimed at strengthening oversight, Additional and Deputy Municipal Commissioners have been designated as senior in-charge officers for the city’s zones. They will review zonal operations alongside their regular duties, ensuring that sanitation and development works are completed on schedule and in line with quality benchmarks.
Meena emphasised that timely and high-quality completion of municipal projects is essential for the public to benefit directly from the city’s development initiatives.
