Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) will organise “Sahyog Shivir” camps across all its administrative zones on June 2 as part of a Bihar government initiative aimed at improving public grievance redressal and strengthening citizen-centric governance.
The camps will be held on the first and third Tuesday of every month. According to PMC, the initiative is intended to create a more accountable and responsive administrative system while providing residents with easier access to civic services and grievance resolution.
Camps Across Six Administrative Zones
The first round of Sahyog Shivirs will begin at 10am on June 2 at designated locations across six municipal zones.
The venues are Murlichak Primary School, Jagdev Path (Nutan Rajdhani Zone); Guru Sahay Lane Community Hall (Patliputra Zone); Community Hall, Kadamkuan (Bankipur Zone); Water Resources Office opposite Karbigahiya Electricity Office (Kankarbagh Zone); Urdu Middle School, Narkat Ghat (Azimabad Zone); and Vishwakarma Community Hall, Bahari Begampur Mandi (Patna City Zone).
Residents from wards under the respective zones can attend the camps to submit complaints and seek resolution of civic issues.
Advance Registration of Complaints
PMC said applications and grievance petitions will be accepted up to 30 days before the scheduled date of each camp.
Officials said the advance submission process is intended to allow departments to initiate preliminary action and prepare status reports before the camp takes place, enabling quicker disposal of cases.
Citizens can submit applications at their nearest zonal office. Complaints can also be registered through the municipal WhatsApp chatbot on 9264447449 and the toll-free helpline number 155304.
Officials To Be Present At Ward Level
The corporation has directed the presence of key ward-level personnel, including Tax Collectors, Sanitation Supervisors and Sanitation Inspectors, at the camps.
Executive Officers of the concerned zones, along with senior officials from the PMC headquarters, will oversee arrangements and monitor the conduct of the programme.
Public Representatives To Participate
PMC said the camps will be held in the presence of elected representatives from the concerned areas.
Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Councillors and members of the Patna District Programme Implementation Committee will be invited to attend, with the aim of encouraging wider public participation in addressing local issues.
The municipal corporation has appealed to residents to attend the camps in their respective areas and register civic grievances to facilitate timely action and resolution.
